Bipolar, BPD and Self-diagnosis
My doc has said that I am bipolar yet I think that I am bpd. he wont listen to me.
It is a free clinic through the county hospital district. what should I do?
Your best bet is to get a second opinion. Self-diagnosis is a tricky thing. As for your current doc, if you know enough to have an opinion about your diagnosis, then you probably can get him/her or one of the other social workers or docs to sit down with you and go through the diagnostic checklist for each disorder, so you can get a better handle on it. There's a lot of cross-talk between two disorders you mentioned and s/he may being seeing something you don't or you may be seeing something s/he doesn't.
