Intervention and Mental Illness

How does a person make another person, whom they love, aware of their symptoms without alienating them? How do I get this person to seek help for BPD? When presented with the facts of their actions this person denies and reflects their behavior (by accusation) back on me.

You can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped. Really disturbed people know that they are disturbed. Socially disturbed people deny, ignore and, quite frankly, don't even know that they are "off".

You can do an intervention, by getting a bunch of significant others together and having a sit down. But that is at the risk of complete alienation.

Otherwise, until they want to see it, they won't.
