Mother With BPD
My mother has borderline personality. when I looked at the 'symptoms' it fits her exactly.
in her eyes, a person is either an angel or the devil...there never seems to be a middle line.
I have recently realized that many of my own issues are indirectly affected by my childhood, growing up with a single mom who wasn't very stable emotionally....as kids we definitely had our fair share of verbal abuse.
I won't talk about more at this stage, but I would be interested to know what you think about having a parent with this disorder...or if you have any
comments...I don't have any direct questions as such.
You have no foundation or credential for making such a pronouncement about your mother's state of mind except your own experience. Unless you seek the consultation of a professional and that professional is in direct, disagnostic contact with your mother, it's only behavior...not a disorder.
