My name is Sharon and I am a 40+ year old female.
My name is Sharon. I am dealing with the mental challenge of Bi-Polar Type I. I am constantly updating with the condition with
newsletters, magazines, internet websites, books, psychology books and any other resources. I am a Psychology major at Rutgers University in NJ. I am writing a
book (Autobiography) and I am a poet (published). I am an asset to many persons dealing with /Bi-Polar disorder and Schizophrenia. My father has the mental
challenge of Schizophrenia. I have a blog page entitled "A Daughter's Story" sharing my
experiences about my father. I can share email with a family member or the person suffering. I have nothing but
positive information to share with them. I am still going to therapy, I take my meds daily and I go to college, having recently graduate summa cuade laude from a community college. I am proud of my
accomplishments despite my mental challenges. I just received the National Dean's List for the fourth consecutive year. I am 45 years old and I am on my own as far as school, dealing with my mental illness, trying to help my father who does not want to take his meds, I enjoy helping young and old, the age group does not matter. I have experience helping girls with PTSD because I was raped 33 years ago and despite the fact that I am still getting counseling because of being blamed, I encourage young girls who want to give up on
life by helping them to know that life is worth living and they, too can make it. I can help in the following areas: PTSD, Bi-Polar Disorder,
Schizophrenia. I have a vast amount of knowledge concerning these areas. Just give me a chance. We would
not want to lose these persons.
