My name is Joni and I am a 25 year old Female. 

I was diagnosised about 3 years ago. I had my son and never came out of the "baby blues". When I wanted to kill both he and I, I knew it was time to get help. My husband is pretty supportive. We go to therpary sessions together, and e tries to stay informed. Both my mom and sister are bi-polor and so are some of my exstened family. Right now I am on a great mix of depakote and paxil. I have only been hospitalized once and that was to make sure I did not hurt some one that had left my son alone at the age of 3, but other then that I have been able to stay pretty stable.
