W Lewis, I am 51;I was first misdiagnosed with major clinical depression; then Bipolar 2 Disorder with rapid cycling mood swings; now, finally and accurately am diagnosed with Bipolar 1 disorder with rapid cycling mood swings. I have read several books on the issue; books by Kay Redfield Jamison; I am a member of support in Lacrosse Wisconsin for people who have Bipolar disorder. I am currently reading The Bipolar Disorder Survival group and was a member of a group in Winona Man. for people with any mental illnesses; I have composed poetry extensively on the subject; I would be more that wiling to share my strength, experience and hope.

My experiences with bipolar disorder; three different diagnoses before the current one of Bipolar 1 Disorder with rapid cycling mood swings; extensive research on the subject, in different Ares; Have dated various women who have he disorder and find out that it is rather difficult; I belong to several support groups, one specifically for bipolar people; take trileptal, wellbutrin and Klonopin; have intervene with people to keep them from going "off" shall we say; I think that I am a great listener and very empathetic take responsibility for getting what I need, even if it means asking others, which I do also em recovering alcoholic and addict and participate in a well known 12 step program.
