My name is Sarah and I am a 21 year old female psychology student.

I am a 21 year old female in the US. I am studying psychology in college and plan to go on to graduate school to become a counselor although I have had no formal training yet.

I myself have suffered from various levels of anxiety since childhood, as well as depression especially since I left for college. I have also dealt with issues of gender and sexuality, and although I do not currently identify as transgendered or transsexual, I have done a fair amount of informal research on gender identity issues particularly those related to FTM (female-to-male) transgendered or transsexual individuals.

Although I have been to a few therapists over the years, I have never had any formal treatment for any of these issues and have pretty much worked through them on my own. Although I encourage anyone who is having significant troubles to seek appropriate help, I am particularly able through my own experiences to speak to those who are unable/unwilling to seek treatment and/or are simply interested in discussing things from a self-help perspective.

That being said, I am pretty much willing and open to speak to anyone regardless of their particular situation or experience - if I do not personally know the answer to any questions you may have, I am willing to do my best to point you in the proper direction.
