My name is Crystal, My life changed when I was 15. I had always been a
depressed kid I just never showed it most of the times. The Summer that I
was in 6th grade. I had tons of friends but I chose to stay in my room the
WHOLE summer. My mom thought it was a "teen" thing. I was a A-B
student in high school. Then it all came tumbling down when I was in 9th
Grade. The hardest grade in high school! I started running away from home.
I was put into a runaway shelter at least 4 times! I hated myself but I didn't
care what I was doing wrong, I didn't care if I died that instinct! I knew
something was wrong so my mom took me to A rehab center where I stayed for
42 days. I had tried cutting my wrists and popping pills before that. At
rehab they had told me I had Bipolar Disorder I. They put my on Zoloft and
Tegretol and Trazadone to help me sleep. They wanted to put me on lithium
but my doctor didn't think it was necessary at the time. I got out of
rehab and I had to have many medicine changes cause I got depressed again.
Its been almost 1 yr. and a half. And I have moved to a different city and
I'm with Family that cares allot about me and I'm HAPPY! After I got out I
promised myself I would help people who are depressed or suicidal! People
might think I'm young to be giving advice But I went through allot and I
hurt allot of people I loved and cared about. But I learned allot also.
So, I want to help people with the knowledge and because I'm a caring
person and I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through what I went
through. I live with my mom still, my dad left after my mom told him to
leave cause he started to hit me. I live like 15 mins from my cousin and
aunt and uncle. I am home schooled a senior I have about 2 months left. I
am planning on going to Valencia Community College and studying either law
or psychology. This is my life I live it everyday. but its not my
last..and it isn't yours either!
